Serenity

Of course I had to post about this. How could I not?

For those who don't know, Serenity is the new movie based off my favourite TV half-series, Firefly. The movie was a lot darker than the series, and a whole lot colder. There was a lot more shouting, a lot more getting injured and a lot more death I'm not going to say who dies, that would be a nasty spoiler.

A quick run-down on how the characters were changed. Mal was less noble and more of an asshole. Zoe didn't change at all (she's still her normal, dull self). Jayne was less traitorous, but angrier and shoutier (is that a word?). Wash lost his sense of humour, which made him really boring. Kaylee was turned into a nymphomaniac (O_o). Simon was angrier, shoutier and less subtle. River was a lot less creepy but a lot more kickass. Inara and Book had a lesser role, as they weren't based on Serenity, but were basically unchanged.

The plot of the movie was good. Very good. The fighting was good, as was the acting. I liked how some things featuring in the series were explained in the movie. I'm not going so say any more about it, but, GO SEE THIS MOVIE NOW.

See it twice. Maybe even three times.
